Privacy policy

Last updated: 15 Oct 2026

Abhyas Buddy (abhyasbuddy.com) is a free study website. This policy explains what information is used when you visit it, where it is kept, and the choices you have. In short: we do not ask you to sign up, your name and progress stay in your own browser, and we use Google Analytics to count visits and Google AdSense to show ads, which keep the site free.

1. Information you give us

There is no account, log in or sign-up. If you choose to, you can type your name (to be greeted by it), a daily goal and a language. These are saved only in your browser on your device, using its local storage. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them.

If you write to us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply.

2. Your progress stays on your device

Your answers, test results, report card, daily practice and the words you mark as learned are worked out and saved in your browser. Questions come with their answers, so checking an answer does not send anything to us. To give you questions, your browser downloads them from our site; that request carries no information about you beyond what any web request carries (see section 3).

Because it is kept only on your device, your progress does not move to another phone or browser, and clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes it for good.

3. Information collected automatically

Like every website, ours receives technical details with each request: your IP address, browser and device type, the page asked for, the page you came from and the time. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes these to deliver the site and to protect it from attacks and abuse, and keeps short-term logs that we can use to fix problems. We do not use them to find out who you are.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example which pages and topics are opened, how long visits last, the type of device and browser, the approximate location (city or region, worked out from the IP address) and how visitors found us. This tells us what to improve. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to recognise a returning browser. We do not send it your name, your answers or anything that identifies you.

Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

5. Advertising — Google AdSense

Abhyas Buddy is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense. About these ads:

6. Cookies and local storage

Where the law requires your consent before analytics or advertising cookies are used (for example for visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland), Google’s consent message asks you first, and these cookies are not used until you agree. If you do not agree, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised. You can change your choice at any time.

You can block or delete cookies, and clear this site’s data, in your browser’s settings. Blocking cookies does not stop the site from working; clearing site data also deletes your saved progress.

7. How information is shared

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information is handled only by the service providers named above — Cloudflare (hosting and security), Google Analytics (visit statistics) and Google AdSense (advertising) — each under its own privacy policy, and we may disclose information if the law requires it.

8. How long it is kept

What is in your browser stays until you clear it. Cloudflare’s request logs are short-lived. Google keeps analytics and advertising data for the periods set out in its policies and in our Google Analytics settings, after which it is deleted.

9. Children

Abhyas Buddy is meant for adults preparing for competitive exams. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please use the site with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian.

10. Your choices and rights

11. Security and other websites

The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Anyone who can use your device and browser can see your progress there, so keep your device locked. Links and ads may take you to other websites, which have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for them.

12. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when what we do changes, and change the date at the top. For any question about privacy, or to make a request, use the email address on our Contact page.
